February 2025 Newsletter
Ministry Travels:
Goiânia:
We kicked off February with an incredible trip to Goiânia—a city in the heart of Brazil, about 10 hours from where we live! You might be wondering how we ended up at a church so far away… ONLY GOD!
Back in September, Herberty had the opportunity to join a group of pastors visiting Tulsa to learn how large churches operate in the U.S. That weekend, he connected with Pastor Abinair and Meire from Goiânia. God orchestrated our meeting, allowing us to show them around Tulsa and share our plans to be in Brazil. They told us to reach out when we arrived—and of course, we did!
They invited us to spend the first weekend of February with them for a special Missions Conference on Saturday, where Herberty would share a word. As we planned our visit, they also invited us to a prayer vigil on Friday night and for Herberty to preach at another campus on Sunday night.
From the moment we arrived Friday night, we were warmly welcomed by the church. During the prayer vigil, Herberty was called to the stage to pray for healing, and Sarah received a prophetic word! On Saturday night, Herberty encouraged the church at the Missions Conference, where we saw their incredible passion for serving and giving to missions. Then, on Sunday night, Herberty preached at their other campus, and the Holy Spirit moved powerfully—THREE people accepted Jesus as their Savior! PRAISE GOD! 🙌
Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
Be clear, be confident and don’t overthink it. The beauty of your story is that it’s going to continue to evolve and your site can evolve with it. Your goal should be to make it feel right for right now. Later will take care of itself. It always does.
Brasilia:
As our time in Goiânia ended, we headed to Brasilia - the Capitol of Brazil. Sarah was able to meet more of Herberty’s family, as well as learn more about Brazilian governance. We also met with the Children’s Director of an Assemblies of God Network. We shared with her about Sharing Dreams and about our English school, 15 Minutes English. She will take what we shared to the main pastor and prayerfully they will be part of Sharing Dreams! Be praying with us that the doors will open for this network of churches will be Dreamers!
Warehouse Update!
This month we met with an architect at the warehouse to discuss options for the space! It was an exciting time talking about the possibilities that we have to turn this building into a place for ministry! We will be sending out more details about the warehouse soon, and how you can be part of this project.
More From This Last Month:
Supported Missions!
Our nephew Pedro went on his first missions trip to Guinea-Bissau. Pedro has a call to ministry and is following where the Lord leads him. We were able to support him financially for this trip.
During their time there, they ministered to children and families and witnessed many demon-possessed individuals being set free! This experience has profoundly impacted how he views culture and has drawn him closer to the Lord! Pedro is committed to living a life that honors God, and we are so proud of him. He is hopeful that he will get to attend Victory Bible College next year!
Ministry Meeting!
We were able to connect with Pastor Ramon, learn about his church, and share with him about our project. It was a time of growth and encouragement for all of us! They thrive to serve their community and we were blessed to see what they are doing!
Children’s Event!
We were invited to join the children of the Assemblies of God main campus here in Campinas for a celebration event! They had inflatables and games. We had a fun time hanging out with the kids and talking with them in English!
What a Blessing!
The Lord has been so good to us this last month! Our time here has been going so fast, and we know it is nothing short of a blessing that we are here! We are able to do all of this because of our faithful partners, our Dream Makers! Thank you! Your partnership is continuing to change the lives of people in Brazil! If you would like to donate you can click on the box below!
More to Come!
We are gracious in knowing that the Lord is not done with us yet and we look forward to what is in store for the rest of our time here! Please continue to pray for us, for more opportunities to share the love of Jesus and open doors!
With Love,
Herberty and Sarah de Souza
